Blue Branch Cattle Farms

Blue Branch Farms is the name of our commerical cow operation here in McCormick County. We run around 600 cows on 1,500 acres of pastureland.

We use Angus and Brangus in a two-breed crisscross program to generate females that excel as momma cows.

In 2001, Blue Branch Farms had the Grand Champion Pen of commercial heifers at the Georgia Beef Expo. We returned in 2002 to capture the Reserve Grand Champion Pen.

These Brangus/Angus crossbred females really excel in our area. We continue to retain ownership of their steer-mates and utilize Taylor Livestock Services for our custom preconditioning and marketing needs. These Brangus sired calves perform exceptionally well in the feedyards at Precision Feeders in Iowa and we generally generate carcass premiums.
